Placeholder Page Case Study
Flare Dance Co. (Launch Placeholder)
An optional coming-soon page for a BC Bollywood dance troupe, dressed for a festival night and built to keep booking enquiries open.
At a Glance
Ahead of the new Flare Dance Co. website, we designed an optional holding page for the troupe, which performs Bollywood and Indian folk dance across British Columbia. It carries the gold mandala logo, a Website Launching Soon badge and a short note that classic Bollywood performances are still being booked for festivals, weddings and community events, with an Email Us button for booking enquiries.

The Brief
Even with a new website in rehearsal, the troupe still had performances to book. This page needed to keep enquiries arriving and still carry the colour and warmth of a show.
- Say at once that a new website is coming and that the troupe is still taking bookings.
- Keep enquiries for festivals, weddings and community events one click away.
- Carry the troupe's festival-night look so the page feels like part of the brand.
- Stay out of search results while still looking finished whenever the link is shared.
What We Designed
The troupe's gold filigree mandala, with its dancer silhouette, is the centrepiece, set on a near-black aubergine background. A Website Launching Soon badge leads into the name, a line promising something vibrant, and a note that a brand new home is being choreographed while classic Bollywood performances are still booked across British Columbia.
Fraunces and Poppins, the typefaces of the full site, carry over here, so the holding page already speaks in the troupe's voice. Warm cream type sits beside gold accents that match the logo, and the result feels like the first moments of a festival night rather than a gap between shows.
Booking enquiries button
An Email Us button sits under a Booking Enquiries label, with the address hidden from harvesting bots by JavaScript.
Mandala logo
The gold filigree mandala and its dancer silhouette carry the brand without any other imagery on the page.
Share-ready preview
Full Open Graph tags and a designed share image keep link previews looking finished in messages and social posts.
How We Achieved It
The page has a single job, routing booking requests to the troupe, so the Email Us button is its only call to action. The copy names festivals, weddings and community events so an organizer knows straight away they are in the right place. A skip-to-content link comes first in the page for keyboard and screen reader users.
It is set to noindex, so search engines leave it out of their results, while the Open Graph tags look after anyone who shares the link directly. As across the rest of the site, the email address is obfuscated with JavaScript, and the footer's year keeps itself current beside our design credit.
