Website Design Concept

604 Handyman

A one-page concept for a Metro Vancouver handyman, written for the homeowner whose to-do list never seems to get any shorter.

604 Handyman website concept homepage

This is a design concept: a website we designed as a proposal for 604 Handyman. It was not commissioned, and West Coast Media Solutions is not affiliated with 604 Handyman.

At a Glance

604 Handyman offers home repairs and maintenance across Metro Vancouver, from small fixes to full renovations. Our concept is a single page in seven sections that sorts that range into nine services, from general repairs and plumbing to decks, assembly and seasonal upkeep. It then explains why the service can be trusted, sets out a four-step process and the areas covered, and closes by inviting visitors to cross the job off their list.

The Brief

Handyman work arrives as a list: a leaky faucet, a squeaky floor, a door that sticks, a TV that still is not on the wall. Our job was to show that one call could clear the whole list, and to keep the quote request close at hand.

  • Show the full range, from leaky faucets to full deck builds, so no job feels too small to ask about.
  • Sort nine services into plain groups that each name the everyday jobs inside them.
  • State licensing, insurance, free estimates and same-week availability as check marks in the opening section.
  • Close with one plain invitation to get a quote and cross the job off the list.

What We Designed

The headline does its job in three words: Your Home, Handled. Beneath it, a single line runs from leaky faucets to full deck builds, and four tiles preview repairs, renovations, carpentry and painting. A set of check marks covers licensing and insurance, free estimates, same-week availability and a satisfaction guarantee. The page then moves through the full service list, the reasons to trust the business, the four-step process, the areas served, reviews from neighbours and a closing call to action.

We paired DM Serif Display headings with Nunito, a rounded sans serif, so the page feels skilled but approachable rather than corporate. The palette is warm: a cream background, deep brown type and a golden amber for the quote buttons, closer to a tidy workshop than a hard sell. Each service opens with a simple icon and names real jobs, from drywall patching and caulking to TV mounting and gutter cleaning.

Every corner covered

Nine services, from general repairs, plumbing and electrical to decks, assembly and seasonal maintenance, each listing the jobs it includes.

Trust check marks

Licensed and insured, free estimates, same-week availability and a satisfaction guarantee, stated plainly in the opening section.

How a job runs

A section titled Four Steps to a Better Home shows how the work unfolds, so nobody has to guess what comes next.

Metro Vancouver coverage

A service area section, Serving All of Metro Vancouver, confirms coverage before a homeowner asks for a quote.

How We Achieved It

The concept is one scrolling page, and its navigation mirrors the order of the sections: services, why us, process, areas and reviews, with Get a Quote set apart as an amber button. A homeowner who arrives with one specific repair in mind can find it in the service list, check the area and move straight to a quote.

Calls to action return at the natural decision points: in the navigation, under the headline as Get a Free Quote, and in the closing section, which asks whether the visitor is ready to cross it off the list. The footer adds the phone number and email beside the service links for people who would rather call. With one heading per section and a page title that names home repairs and Metro Vancouver, the structure is clear to readers and search engines alike.
