Website Design Concept

Ben's Hotels

This concept matches each traveller to the right Tampa Bay beach by what they bring along: a boat, a pet or the whole family.

Ben's Hotels website concept homepage

This is a design concept: a website we designed as a proposal for Ben's Hotels. It was not commissioned, and West Coast Media Solutions is not affiliated with Ben's Hotels.

At a Glance

Ben's Hotels offers affordable beach hotels in Clearwater Beach, Treasure Island and Johns Pass on Madeira Beach, along with two more hotels elsewhere in Tampa. Opening on Convenience, Location & Affordability, the concept gives each beach hotel a card with its standout features and booking button, lists the other two hotels, sets out why to choose the group, promotes a direct-booking code and closes with a trip enquiry form.

The Brief

Travellers comparing budget beach hotels decide on specifics: can I park my boat, bring the dog, cook for the kids? Those answers had to sit on each hotel before anyone clicks through.

  • Lead with the group's promise of convenience, location and affordability across three Tampa Bay beaches.
  • Set the three beach hotels apart by what each does best: marina views, boat parking with pets, or condos with kitchens.
  • Keep the promo code in view so booking direct feels like the better deal.
  • Offer the two Tampa city hotels to travellers whose trip is not about the beach.

What We Designed

A strip across the top repeats the essentials: the BENSHOTELS promo code, the three beach names, boat parking at select locations and round-the-clock front desk support. The hero sets Convenience, Location & Affordability in Cormorant Garamond with Explore Properties and Get in Touch buttons. Each beach hotel then gets a card with a badge (66 rooms, pet friendly, condos available), a short description, three feature tags and its own Book Now button.

Outfit, a clean geometric sans serif, keeps the cards and tags easy to scan, while the serif headings lend a little resort polish to an affordable offer. We set the page on soft cream with near-black type and sunset coral buttons, a warm beach palette. Below the beach hotels, the two city hotels sit in a simpler list, followed by three reasons to book: prime beach locations, boat friendly and family first.

Feature-tagged cards

Heated pool, boat dock, pets welcome, full kitchens and remote check-in shown as tags on the relevant hotel.

Promo code bar

A top announcement bar and a savings section both carry the BENSHOTELS code for direct bookings.

City hotels

Two Tampa hotels, one in the airport area and one near Moffitt and USF, each with a booking link.

Trip enquiry form

Name, email, travel dates and a note about the trip, sent from a Send Us a Message panel.

How We Achieved It

Four links make up the menu (beach hotels, more hotels, why us, contact), with Book Now set apart in the accent colour. Because every hotel card carries its own booking button, a traveller who has found the right beach can act on the spot, and the closing Ready to Book? section catches anyone who reads to the end.

Travel dates are requested with a worked example in the placeholder, nudging people toward a usable range, and a free-text note about the trip lets a reply suggest the right property. The form sits inside a consultation section, giving travellers with questions a personal route as well as the Book Now buttons. The footer lists the three beach hotels by name.
