At a Glance

Our own deal aggregator, Daily Offer Alerts, gathers offers from the Kelkoo Shopping API into a single feed of today's top alerts. Shoppers can search it, sort it by relevance or price and browse by category, with offers and categories matched to their country. For anyone who wants the deals without visiting, a short signup delivers the best offers by email every morning.

The Brief

A deals site earns its return visits by being fresh every day and relevant to where the shopper lives. The design had to show today's offers quickly and keep them local.

  • Bring shoppers from the headline to today's top offers with as little reading as possible.
  • Match offers and categories to the shopper's country, with a simple way to change region.
  • Reduce sorting by relevance or price to a single choice rather than a panel of filters.
  • Turn a one-off visit into a daily habit through a morning email of the best offers.

What We Designed

A dark hero band carries a Live deals updated now label above the headline, The best deals, delivered daily, set in white, with trending searches for laptops, headphones, sneakers, watches and skincare just beneath. The Today's Top Alerts feed follows with its sort control, then a Never miss a deal band invites signups for the morning email. The footer groups categories, popular searches and company links.

Set in Playfair Display, the headlines have a classic serif voice that gives a daily round-up some authority, while DM Sans handles prices, product names and controls. The background is a cool light grey, text is a deep slate, and a bright signal red marks the buttons, including Get Alerts in the navigation, so the next step always stands out. A flag in the menu shows which country's deals are on screen.

Today's top alerts

A feed of current offers that sorts by relevance, lowest price or highest price from one control.

Region matching

The visitor's country is detected automatically, and a picker lets shoppers switch to another region.

Morning email

One email field signs shoppers up to receive the best offers in their inbox each morning.

Trending searches

Popular product shortcuts under the headline give casual shoppers a quick way into the feed.

How We Achieved It

Country detection does the quiet work. It happens before the page reaches the shopper, so the first offers on screen already suit their region. Anyone shopping for another market can open the region picker, which covers Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia and several European countries and shows deals from retailers that ship there. An empty search gets a plain message suggesting another term or the categories.

Contact opens in an overlay, so nobody loses their place in the feed, and both the contact and newsletter forms are protected by Google reCAPTCHA with extra checks behind it. The site follows our standard conventions: five legal overlays in the footer, visible email addresses obfuscated with JavaScript, and a copyright year that rolls over on its own.
