Website Design Concept
Harrison Lake Hotel
A direct-booking concept for an 88-room village hotel, where clear prices, included perks and practical answers do the persuading.
This is a design concept: a website we designed as a proposal for Harrison Lake Hotel. It was not commissioned, and West Coast Media Solutions is not affiliated with Harrison Lake Hotel.
At a Glance
Harrison Lake Hotel has 88 updated rooms, pet-friendly options included, on a quiet side street in Harrison Hot Springs, a short walk from the beach and the public hot spring pool. Within a single page, the concept places a rate search under the headline, lists what every stay includes, presents six room types with beds and capacity, then covers savings, things to do nearby, the location and a contact form.

The Brief
Guests choosing a village hotel tend to weigh value and convenience first. Answering the practical questions (price, parking, pets, Wi-Fi, check-in) before they were asked, and steering guests toward booking direct, was the brief.
- Encourage direct booking with a best-rate message and a reservations number at the very top of the page.
- List what every stay includes, from free parking and Wi-Fi to hot spring pool access and pet-friendly rooms.
- Present six room types with their beds and capacity, led by a clearly marked best-value room.
- Make the village part of the offer, with the beach, a provincial park, golf and a waterfall within reach.
What We Designed
A slim bar at the top of the page carries the book-direct message and a toll-free reservations number. Below it, the headline Where the mountains meet the lake has a rate search for check-in, check-out and guests directly underneath. The welcome section places the hotel on a peaceful street in the village and backs it with four quick facts: the beach steps away, a ninety-minute drive from Vancouver, the number of updated rooms and a welcome for pets.
For the many practical details, from bed counts to check-in times, we used Hanken Grotesk, with Fraunces giving the headings a friendly warmth. We kept the palette homely: soft cream, dark pine text and rust-coloured buttons. A six-item list of inclusions (Wi-Fi, parking, pool access, pets, kitchenettes, families) sits ahead of the rooms, so value is established before price, and the best-value room carries a tag of its own.
Rate search bar
Check-in, check-out and guest fields, including a family option for five or more, right under the headline.
Included with every stay
Six inclusions grouped together, from complimentary Wi-Fi and free parking to hot spring pool access.
Ways to save
A seniors rate, BCAA and CAA member pricing and book-direct perks gathered under one heading.
Things to do nearby
Eight nearby experiences, from Harrison Beach and Bridal Veil Falls to golf, paddling and paragliding.
How We Achieved It
The page keeps the next step close at hand: the rate search up front, a See live rates link above the room cards, and Book buttons on the rooms themselves. The navigation keeps to rooms, packages, experiences and location, with the hotel's phone number and Book Now set beside them, so a guest who would rather talk to someone can call straight from the top.
A location section with an embedded map comes before the closing contact form, so guests can picture the short walk to the beach before they write. The form asks them to pick a topic ahead of their note, which helps route each question, and it has spam protection built in. The footer adds check-in and check-out times alongside the core inclusions.
